Peggy Green
Maintenance of a good credit score whilst unemployed
can be a series of landmines.
It can be easy to overlook many of the necessary elements simply because of a lack of information. Peggy Green is an alumnus of the East Bay Professional Experience Network. She'll present critical financial information for those currently in transition. This is an important seminar that should not be missed as the number of potential employers checking credit score is steadily increasing.
Peggy Green is the Education Specialist in the Oakland office of Consumer Credit Counseling Services of the East Bay, where she teaches financial education classes.
Previously, she worked in the mortgage industry for over 20 years – most recently as Regional Underwriting Manager.
She also is a member of the Oakland and Alameda County Rapid Response Teams that provide resource information to employees who have been notified of a pending layoff prior to their last day of employment. She also teaches classes at the various One Stop Career Centers.
Peggy is proof that there is life after unemployment. With the meltdown in the mortgage world, she identified her transferable skills and was able to move into financial education – in fact, she is a former member of the Experience Unlimited Oakland where she served on the Training Committee.
