Bio: 

Rufus Watkins, Co-Program Chair at GraceWorks in San Francisco, assists members of the community with career development services and job seeking skills.

GraceWorks, a social ministry of Grace Cathedral, is one of the Bay Area 's premiere networking groups. They assist people who are unemployed, underemployed or looking for new opportunities.

Some of the speakers featured at GraceWorks have included: What Color Is Your Parachute author and career guru Richard Bolles; former Chronicle business reporter Tom Abate; and well known job coach and radio personality Marty Nemko.

Mr. Rufus Watkins grew up in San Francisco and attended Saint Ignatius College Preparatory High School. He graduated from City College of San Francisco with an A.A. Degree in Liberal Studies. He also holds a B.A. Degree in Speech Communication from Baylor University. 

Mr. Watkins had previously worked for the San Francisco Chronicle in the Editorial News Operations Department for 21 years. He is interested in local politics and ran for the San Francisco School Board in 1996, 1998 and 2000. He also enjoys thoroughbred horse racing, the symphony, opera and ballet.
